New marina, new Fort Myers Beach
Things are certainly changing around Fort Myers Beach. One of the biggest projects of course is the new Margaritaville Resort Fort Myers Beach, and the updated infastructure construction on Estero Blvd. These will compliment the city, and add an unparalelled, long term vaction destination that Fort Myers beach has needed for some time now.
But just over the Matanzas Pass bridge is another big project. Over the past decade Fort Myers has had an increase of over 700k residents, and alot of them have moved to Southwest Florida to live the Florida lifestyle, part of that lifestyle is to go boating. The Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel area need more boat storage, and that's where Gulf Star Marina comes in.
For decades we have seen the old boat barn coming and going to and from Fort Myers Beach and a few months ago it disapeared, construction has started on the first of it's kind, state of the art boat storage facility, and will continue to be the home of Southwest Florida Dolphin & Eco Tours.
But for now the best way to find me is to plot your course to Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille Fort Myers Beach, it is next door to the marina and has plenty of parking, not to mention Doc Ford's has some of the best food, views and service in Southwest Florida. Stop by the restaurant after a morning tour for lunch or end the day with a fantastic meal when you come back from an afternoon tour, it's a win win!
In the meantime, check out the construction progress here and consider a home for your boat at Gulf Star Marina. GCM Contracting Solotutions has been working night and day to make this marina the first and best of it's kind, offering a safe and secure, state of the art boat storage facility found only on Fort Myers Beach!
